Hofbräu Hefe Weizen
This Beer has written History!
A refreshing wheat beer, characterized by its special yeast with rich foam and fruit forward flavor. How could it not be perfected, as a former monopoly?
World’s first Bavarian Hefe Weizen from 1602
Hofbräuhaus had the Wheat Beer Monopoly for 200 years (could only be brewed by ducal privilege)
Beverage Testing Institute Gold Medal Winner 2010 with 88 Points (“Highly Recommended”) and Beer Connoisseur Magazine Gold Medal Winner with 95 Points (“Exceptional”)
Our Hefe Weizen is a Bavarian specialty and of course one of our signature beers. A refreshing very quaffable wheat beer with aromas of banana, delicate citrus and spice notes and follow through on a crisp entry to a dryish medium body with a good depth and a tangy wheatgrass, grain, and citrus rind accented finish. A world-famous, very well-rounded Bavarian style wheat beer.
